Hang Rai, Khanh Hoa – Nature’s Miraculous Masterpiece
Once likened to "Mars on the shore," Hang Rai impresses visitors with millions of years old ancient coral rock formations and the phenomenon of waves spilling ashore, creating waterfalls right on the sea surface. This is a must-visit destination for anyone looking to capture magical sunrise moments in the sunny and windy land of Khanh Hoa.

About 35km from Phan Rang, Hang Rai (Nui Chua National Park) is now located in Khanh Hoa province, having long become a destination that enchants visitors with its majestic natural scenery and unique coastal waterfall terrain.

At dawn, sea waves wash over the ancient rock crevices, forming waterfalls directly on the sea surface. This ethereal landscape has earned Hang Rai the nicknames “waterfall on the sea” and “Mars on the shore.”

This ancient coral reef is essentially a millennia-old coral platform, also known as Moon Rock. The coral protruding above the water resembles giant slabs with sharp, jagged surfaces.

The overlapping layers of rock form numerous natural tiers facing the ocean.

As the sun breaks, the changing light continuously creates mystical layers of color on the water’s surface and the rock formations.

Hang Rai dons a poetic, gentle charm with murmuring waves lapping the shore like a “coastal symphony.”
